Melanie was born in Quebec and is bilingual in both french and english. Melanie completed the Animal Care Program at Sheridan College in 1994. Mel joined the Clappison Team in October of 1998. An area of the veterinary industry that interests Mel the most is feline behaviour and nutrition.

Melanie loves the daily interactions with the clients and their pets; she especially enjoys greeting the four legged furry friends when they enter the clinic! The Clappison team is a wonderful bunch of people to work with; we are like one big happy family which is nice because we know we can always count on one another.

Mel’s first pet was a cat named “Finette”


Kennel Cough

Kennel Cough is considered an infectious disease that is caused by the canine Parainfluenza virus, the Bordetella bronchiseptica bacteria, or a combination of both virus and bacteria. This disease is called kennel cough due to the dry, hacking cough usually seen with infection.
