Sheila McNiven

Doggie Daycare Manager
Over the past ten years, I have worked with animals in various fields. I started out as a veterinary assistant, which later lead me to become an investigating officer with the Humane Society. Although very rewarding, it was very challenging emotionally and mentally. Managing a doggie daycare is just as rewarding and so fun! I started working at Clappison Animal Hospital in 2017. My first pet was a little, black french poodle named Renee. She and I were inseparable during my entire childhood and she will always hold a special place in my heart. My favourite part of my job is that I love how much pet parents care about their dogs, coming to work is kind of like owning 15-20 dogs of my own. I get to know their personalities, their quirks, and their favourite places to get rubbed and scratched. The team here at Clappison and Country Tails is amazing. Everyone truly makes coming to work fun and that's really important to me. A fun fact about me is that I was born and raised in Nova Scotia and return home every summer. This summer is extra special as my fiancee and I are getting married there in July!
