Overweight Cat Help

Is my cat fat?

If you are concerned about your cat’s weight, one of our technicians would be happy to check him or her over and guide you on a good nutritional plan.

How can I help my cat lose weight? Weight loss tips for cats?

Booking a nutritional consult is the ideal first step, so we can customize a weight loss plan specifically for your cat. We can help you with a diet change and other nutritional modifications. A food scale can go a long way in regards to accurate feeding amounts. Increasing activity is vital for muscle strengthening and improves metabolism. Laser pointers and activity balls are just a few ideas for helping with exercise. Check out our blog section for even more detailed tips.

What is offered in nutritional consultation?

Our nutritional consultations are booked with a registered veterinary technician. We will do morphometric measurements, which is a fancy term for body measurements that determine your pet’s ideal weight. From there, we can figure out if they need to lose, maintain, or gain weight. Based on your pet’s lifestyle, age and breed, we will design a personalized nutrition plan for your pet. We can also do nutrition consults for specific conditions such as allergies, urinary issues, GI issues, dental care and more.
