Can My Pet Eat This?

Our dogs love to give us those sad eyes while we sit down to have a meal or snack. We, of course, want to give them a bit of what we are eating. Here are a few things that our dogs can eat and should not have.

Yes, to these Food Items:

  • Blueberries – High in antioxidants
  • Bananas – Rich in potassium and vitamin C
  • Kiwi – Rich in potassium and Vitamin C
  • Pineapple – High in antioxidants
  • Strawberries – High in fibre and antioxidants

Yes, but:

  • Apples – Don’t let your dog eat the seeds
  • Lemons – Very bitter taste
  • Peaches – Remove the pit, it can cause intestinal blockage
  • Oranges – They are high in natural sugar, give in moderation
  • Watermelon – Remove the rind first


  • Grapes – Can cause kidney failure
  • Avocados – Can cause vomiting
  • Cherries – Can cause cyanide poisoning in large quantities
  • Onions – Can cause red blood cell damage
