Puppy Vaccinations

At Clappison Animal Hospital, we strive for the best immunity your puppy will need when we see them for their puppy vaccine appointments. Our veterinarian team will discuss with you the appropriate vaccines your puppy needs for his or her lifestyle. We are striving for complete coverage of unwanted viruses that your puppy may encounter during their early months. With the best coverage aboard, we are also setting up your puppy for future years of continued health.

What vaccinations do you offer to new puppies?

We offer the following vaccinations:

  • Distemper
  • Parvo
  • Rabies
  • Hep
  • Parai
  • We strongly suggest Lepto
  • Bord, Lyme +/-

Why is it important to properly vaccinate your puppy?

Puppies need multiple sets in quick succession, because of their immune system needs several reminders of how to respond to viruses.

What is an appropriate schedule for puppy vaccinations?

Ideally, we recommend puppy vaccinations at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. Our veterinary team will discuss with you any previous vaccine history and get your puppy started on the appropriate vaccine schedule.

How should you prepare your puppy for its first vaccination visit?

Socialization and working on basic training manners before your puppy’s first visit to the veterinarian is suggested, but not required.

Bring any documents you received when purchasing your puppy to the first appointment, as they may contain important information about your new pet.
