Erica B.

Animal Care Assistant and Receptionist

Growing up, I have always had an interest in working with animals and being able to help them. So it was apparent to me to become a veterinarian. I am currently in grade 12 at St. Mary’s, but I am working my way up to veterinary school. I joined the clinic in October 2016, because I wanted to gain experience working with veterinarians and I wanted to get to know what working in a veterinary clinic is like. The best part of my job is getting to see the animals get better. I see animals come in all the time that are in need of medical attention or are in bad shape. When they leave the clinic all healed and healthy, it makes me appreciate my job even more. My favourite thing about the clinic is the environment. Not only do I get to interact with animals all day, but the people I work with are very friendly and outgoing. My first pet was a Golden Retriever named Cody, he will forever be in my heart.
