Katie Thompson

Registered Veterinary Technician

Katie was born and raised in London, Ontario until she was 7, when her and her family moved to the GTA. When Katie was a little girl she had to make the hard decision of euthanizing her kitty. The technician told her that she was born to be an RVT and that is what she strived for ever since. Katie had volunteered at clinics since she was 14 years old.

Katie graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in 2018. She continued her studies, graduating again in 2019 gaining her specialty in Rehabilitation, which came along with an added bonus of specializing in neurology and orthopedics. She started her career as a Veterinary Technician at a 24-hour hospital for 3 years prior to joining the NOAH team in April of 2021. Katie officially became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2021.

In her free time, Katie plays field hockey, watches baseball, listens to music, spends her summer weekends at the trailer and in the winter, Katie loves to ski. Her favourite and most rewarding activity is volunteering every year at animal sanctuaries all around the world.

She currently lives as a crazy cat lady with her 6 cats; Tabitha, Autumn and Boo (her torbie triplets), Ruben (her Russian blue), Griffin (her beautiful polydactyl Bombay that came home with her from school) and Pickle, the crazy grey baby of the family.
